 Ready    Responsible    Respectful
Our vision at West Elementary School is to create a collaborative learning community where staff, students, and parents share a common commitment toward ensuring success for each child.  Diversity is valued, encouraged, and celebrated!  We believe a safe, nurturing, fun, and creative environment provides a foundation to build confident children who are willing to take risks in order to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.  Our curriculum is challenging and lessons are planned around The Common Core.  Instruction is differentiated, based upon the strengths and needs of the learners with an emphasis on helping students continually expand their skills and horizons.  Students receive feedback regarding progress toward their goals.  Parents and visitors feel welcome and become actively involved in the life of our school.

West Elementary appreciates the related arts.  Our students receive high quality instruction in Art, Music, Physical Education, Media/Library, and Technology.

We love our volunteers!  Parents are welcome to be in classrooms on a daily basis.  West teachers and students welcome the wealth of knowledge and skill our volunteers bring into the building.

A crucial component in the success of West elementary is the support of our PTA and our community.  Our PTA works to support the success of our students and the efforts of our staff.  Our community responds generously with their time and talents.  This is a partnership we treasure and nourish.

Talented staff members, involved families, and respectful students work together to make West Elementary School a great place to learn and grow!
