Dr. Heather Chesman brings 15 years of successful teaching to the Gulfport School District and is a product of Gulfport High School. As an instructional leader, she held the position of English Department Head at the junior high level and high school level for over nine years. Dr. Chesman earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in 1998 and earned her Master’s of Education Degree from William Carey University in 2003. In 2004, Dr. Chesman attained her National Board Certification in Early/Adolescence/English Language Arts and renewed her certification in 2014. Dr. Chesman earned her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Southern Mississippi, which demonstrates her commitment to life-long learning.
